Serayah Is Racking Up That Resume Like Nobody’s Business!

Fans may keep the character of Tiana Brown from FOX’s Empire in their back pockets when referencing Sereyah McNeill, but homegirl is solid in the acting chops.

The 27-year-old actress will play Lt. Keisha Jenner who leads a task force assigned to take down jewel thieves on the streets of Atlanta. Her character also has a friendship with Quavo’s character (Guy Miller).

As 360 previously reported, Quavo will star as the lead actor in the action-thriller film, Takeover. Trioscope and Quality Films are backing the film. Titanic villain Billy Zane has also joined the cast.

The movie started filming in Atlanta earlier this month and will feature Trioscope’s proprietary technology infused with live-action.

Don’t Sleep On Sereyah

She’s starred in BET+’s Kingdom Business with Gospel star Yolanda Adams, Envy: Seven Deadly Sins on Lifetime, and the college greek life Netflix film, Burning Sands. Her role in Empire earned her an NAACP Image Award nomination.

For her role as the reformed stripper on Kingdom Bussiness, she described preparing for the role simply by eating,

“I [got to] put on certain outfits and bathing suits [that wouldn’t have fit well before],” she said during an interview. “It was nice looking at my body.”

However, McNeill admitted that fulfilling the physical requirements for the role did have its drawbacks. Her trainer placed her on a high-calorie diet in addition to weight training, but she felt an energy difference,

“You are so full all the time and with being that full comes being tired. So it’s kind of like this push and pull to get up, even to go to the gym after you’ve eaten and drank a full protein shake. So it was a process but I was kind of feeling the results.”

It doesn’t stop there, McNeill played the love interest in Chris Brown’s visual for the song “Undecided.”

We definitely have our eye on this rising queen and expect to see more great things.
