In The Latest Entertainment News Of Jeezy The “Snowman”

Jeezy joined Ebro, Laura Stylez, and Rosenberg on the Hot 97 morning show to discuss his new project “Snofall” with DJ Drama,  family life, and more.

He addressed the unaired episode of HBO’s The Shop that featured Kanye West following his antisemitic comments.

While the Atlanta-bred rapper refused to speak negatively about Ye or the production team, including LeBron James and Maverick Carter, he jokingly said,

“I was just there to do my thing. But again, it’s not my business or place to speak on another man, you know what I mean? That’s just how I’m rockin’. I was a little, like, ‘Damn. They canceled me, I gotta go see Ebro now. I got a project coming out.’ Shoutout to Snowfall right now.”

The “Put On” lyricist continued,

“I can’t say I understood why they took it off, I just know that I came there, we did it, and I got a call and they said, ‘It’s a wrap.’ I didn’t take it personally.”

The Shop, which is produced by video production company SpringHill, released a statement saying

“We have made the decision not to air this episode or any of Kanye’s remarks. While The Shop embraces thoughtful discourse and differing opinions.”

They continued,

“We have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow our channels to be used to promote hate. I take full responsibility for believing Kanye wanted a different conversation and apologize to our guests and crew. Hate speech should never have an audience.”

James, who usually co-hosts the show alongside Carter, was present during the taping of the popular show. As of now, the 45-year-old rapper has been asked to return later for an episode that will feature director, writer, and producer, Tyler Perry.

Ye made an appearance on Piers Morgan’s TalkTV this past Wednesday to apologize for those who may have offended the Jewish community stating,

“I will say I’m sorry for the people that I hurt with the DEFCON [comment], the confusion that I caused,” Ye, 45, said. “I felt like I caused hurt and confusion. And I’m sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with the trauma that I have been through.”

When it comes to family life, Jeezy recounted how the birth of his children helped matured him over the years,

“Well, my first, my son taught me to be a man, like, you just made me get a sense of responsibility that young age and I really started to figure my life out there.”

He added,

“My second daughter, my middle child, gave me a sense of purpose.”

The recently married father recognized his last daughter as being the “glue” that “inspired” him all over again.

Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, married The Real’s Jeanie Mai and welcomed a child in January of this year.

Mai, who’s from the Bay area in San Franciso, has a huge Asian population accounting for a little over 2 million residents.

When he was asked about Asian culture and how it correlates to hip-hop,

“It’s almost like they’re on what [Black people] are on. Yeah [and] they listen to the same music.”

He added,

But it’s something in the water in the Bay anyway because everybody out there just got their extra energy.”
