In The Lastest News Of “Spinning The Block” With Nelly & Ashanti

On the coattails of their recent baby shower Ashanti and Nelly are transitioning from the stage to the screen. The engaged couple is set to star in a new reality show highlighting their expanding family.

Having rekindled their romance in April 2023, the couple will share their love story in this new project. According to The Jasmine Brand, pre-production for the show will commence soon in Nelly’s hometown of St. Louis.

“After our breakup, I didn’t think we’d ever have a conversation again,” Ashanti told Entertainment Tonight. She continued, “It was such a beautiful, intimate moment…I cried, and I gave him the biggest hug and kiss ever.”

Rapper Fat Joe took to Instagram captioning a pic with the couple saying,

“Today we had a Baby Shower, I love you my sister I’m sooooooo happy for yall guys GOD IS GREAT @ashanti @nelly @lolamilan1.”

Nelly, 49, has two children, Chanelle (30) and Cornell Haynes III (25), from his previous relationship with Channetta Valentine.

Nelly and Ashanti announced in April that they are expecting their first child together, putting an end to ongoing speculation fueled by Ashanti’s choice of oversized jerseys during her performances.

“I think he’s going to be amazing, he’s so good with his kids. When they have a chance to spend time together, he makes it count,” she said to ET. “They have all had to make sacrifices because of [his] career and the traveling and them growing up, you know. But when they are together, it’s the best thing in the world to watch.”

The couple surprised fans by adopting the term “spinning the block” by tying the knot in a secret ceremony in December 2023 in Missouri, as confirmed by ET.
