Whew, Sunny Hostin Is Catching Some Heat

The View’s co-host Sunny Hostin has been a fan favorite for many viewers due to her strong discourse during discussions. However, she’s been in hot water for some of her comments.

This week, the all-female panel provided their rhetoric in response to former Trump White House senior adviser, Jared Kushner.

Kushner disagreed with President Biden’s order to overturn former POTUS Trump’s border policies citing it would be a calamity for migrants at the southern border. He also believes that immigrants are “being used as political pawns.”

Here’s Where Hostin’s Comments Come Into Play

The 53-year-old lawyer said,

“That’s what’s so interesting to me, that there are so many Latinos that vote Republican because they vote against their own self-interest. If you really are interested in these types of issues, then you’re a Democrat.”

When she proposed that Republican Latinos should “vote against their own self-interest,” it caused a bit of a stir.

If you’re a fan of The View, this isn’t Hostin’s first rodeo with diminishing verbiage. She came under fire after her comments about Black Republicans being associated with an “oxymoron” to guest host Lindsey Granger.

Her comments were in response to accusations against CNN commentator Van Jones for being somewhat of a puppet for Trump.

She was criticized for her comments about Nikki Hadley, a former ambassador to the United Nations. The journalist suggested that Hadley used the name “Nikki” to appear more universal while hiding her Indian heritage,

“There are some of us that can be chameleons and decide not to embrace our ethnicities so that we can pass,” Hostin said on Tuesday’s show.

In response, Hadley had her own interpretation of the TV personality’s observance,

“It’s racist of you to judge my name. Nikki is an Indian name and is on my birth certificate—and I’m proud of that. What’s sad is the left’s hypocrisy towards conservative minorities. By the way, last I checked Sunny isn’t your birth name…, per Yahoo News.
