In The Latest News Of Community Givebacks With Rapper Travis Scott
Travis Scott, CEO and founder of the Cactus Jack Foundation, recently hosted the fifth annual Winter Wonderland theme park and holiday drive. Held in partnership with Texas Southern University (TSU), the alma mater of the Webster family, and the Houston Food Bank, the event served 1,000 members of the Houston community. Attendees received toys, bikes, sneakers, merchandise, and food to celebrate the holiday season.
Santa Claus made a cheerful appearance at the outdoor winter wonderland-themed park, alongside rapper Don Toliver and Love Island USA star Serena Page.
The event took place at Texas Southern University (TSU), a historically Black university in Houston. Travis Scott’s family has a rich history with HBCUs, spanning multiple generations. His father, Jacques Webster, and brother, Joshua Webster, are Prairie View A&M University alumni, along with other relatives, including his grandparents, Bernice and Waymon Webster, and great-uncles Harold and OC Sargent. His mother, Wanda Webster, attended Grambling State University, while his sister, Jordan Webster, graduated from Howard University. Additionally, his great-uncle Waldo Sargent was an alumnus of TSU, showcasing the family’s deep connection to historically Black colleges and universities.
