What an incredibly beautiful display of how monstrous humans can be.

It was very educational. Learn a lot about parts of slavery I didn't know about.

Life changing. Very sobering and left me in tears. I’ve always had an idea of what my ancestors went through but to see how we arrived on this country how we’ve been unjustly treated since the beginning of time brought me to tears. The museum blew me away. It was put together so nicely. So informative. I’ve learned more about my people from my visit then I ever did in school. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The food located at the cafeteria was really delicious. It does take a long time to complete the entire museum since it’s a lot of reading so just be prepared.

An awesome educational vacation for the family. Tons of relevant research based information provided by the outstanding work the Equal Justice Initiative continues to do. The riverboat ride to the sculpture park was great and the landscaping of the park is kept in pristine conditions. Mr. Stevenson's vision is very tangible in all 3 sites. Professional and courteous security on all sites thanks to Chief of Site Security, Andre Carlisle. Keep up the great Job! 👍🏽Checking out Pannie George's soul food, restaurant next to the museum is a must. Your taste palette will thank you! 😋😋

Definitely an experience. Prepare to read a lot but there are interactive video and experiences. The entrance into the museum with the sounds and visual was extremely profound for me. Worth a visit. However I will say the actual memorial, a few minutes aways was underwhelming. I think it would be m9re profound for a visitor that actually knows someone listed on the monument

This is an amazing museum. Showing the transgressions of African Americans from Slavery to Incarceration. Seeing how the evil moved through time, how it affected the world is fascinating to learn about. You’ll go through every emotion imaginable as you walk through this museum. Please take your time and read the material and feel your feelings while learning about history so we can better the future.

This has to be my top 3 favorite history museums. You learn so much and everything is in great detail. The people are very nice and super helpful. There's a 3 part series... you cannot take pictures inside but be prepared to take notes! I shed tears twice walking through & at the memorial (the shuttle takes you to). Pictures are free to take at the memorial, however. I plan on attending again to bring more people with me. They are non-profit and not supported by the state of AL so they can give the raw and real truth about America. So, I strongly encourage to give donations since admission is only $5.
