Do we see a resurgence from Kiss Colors and Care? Yes, we definitely do.

On February 7, 2023 at 6 p.m. during the start of the winter edition of New York Fashion Week, beauty brand Kiss Colors and Care launched their new styling collection with a runway hair show fitting for the time of year and showcased their new brand partner — none other than JT from the popular hip hop group, City Girls.

The room, full of stylish Black creatives, buzzed with excitement to see everyone’s unapologetic queen IRL.,

“Since I was a little girl, I’ve been using Kiss and you know, we always use to see it in the beauty supply store so, it’s very exciting for me to be apart of this brand,” said JT to the audience.

The Kiss brand is no stranger to the beauty world. From nails to hair care, Kiss is a household name in your local beauty supply and drug stores. Growing up, Kiss was an easy and quick grab-and-go product if I needed to polish my nails or a last minute hair care purchase; but, honestly, I never saw their haircare line in particular as a must-have — until recently.

I had the opportunity to take home their Edge Fixer and their Reversible Premium Crepe Satin Hair Bonnet in Super Jumbo after the event. Needless to say, I wear the cap every night to bed and the hold that I get from the Edge Fixer is outstanding and my edges usually struggle to stay down for even an hour. The cap, would you believe me when I say the cap is still on my head when I wake up in the morning?! I promise you, every scarf or bonnet I’ve worn in the past is in my living room by the time I wake up! I was impressed by my month of testing. This experience alone was enough for me to research other products Kiss Colors and Care has to offer in their new styling collection.

Aside from the quality of the new collection, did I mention I’m a fan? I have to take a pause and celebrate the rebranding.

“New Year, New Us!”

On January 9, Kiss brought in the new year with an Instagram post showcasing their new logo and website relaunch. From packaging, social media assets and website graphics, the marketing team deserves an award for adding a breathe of fresh air back to this brand. The aqua blue color, font and the photoshoots — I can go on. The entire look is fun and adding JT as their brand partner shows that they are working to reach the Gen Z and Millennial audience. Genius if you ask me. You would think Kiss Colors and Care started yesterday.

“JT is the epitome of confidence and self-expression. Because KISS Colors and Care celebrates creativity
and style versatility, we could not think of a more iconic brand partner to represent the brand and its philosophy,” said SVP of Global Marketing Annette DeVita-Goldstein. “We’re thrilled to have JT as our celebrity partner – she continues to be a disruptive force in the music, fashion, and beauty industries. She is bold and embraces new hair looks with confidence and authenticity, which aligns perfectly with our new styling collection.”

I look forward to seeing what Kiss has in the future and yes, I’m typing this article with their bonnet on my head as we speak.
