Another Day, Another Kanye West…Or Ye, Correct?

Kanye West and Candance Owens have been trending on Twitter since they were seen sporting the “White Lives Matter” long-sleeved t-shirts following his runway presentation in Paris.

On Monday, October 3, West’s collection “YZY SZN 9” made its debut with models such as the legendary Naomi Campbell, Lauryn Hill, and Rohan Marley’s daughter, Selah, and singer James Blake, per British GQ

His own children participated in the show for his Sunday Service choir during the controversial show. It was streamed live on YouTube.

However, things took a backseat after he was seen sporting matching shirts with Owens whose a conservative influencer and Trump supporter. She later released the image on her Twitter

Prior to the show’s launch, West told the audience,

“I am Ye, and everyone here knows that I am the leader,” while sporting the controversial shirt.

He added,

“You can’t manage me. This is an unmanageable situation.”

Actor Jaden Smith took to Twitter in a now-deleted post and said,

“I Can’t Stand Behind What Kanye’s Saying, He Does Not Have The Full Support Of The Youth,” per Complex.

Smith continued his tweets,

“I Don’t Care Who’s It Is If I Don’t Feel The Message I’m Out”

Here’s Where Fashion Heads Come In

Lynette Nylander, a fashion editor, and writer took to Instagram and posted her comments on West’s theatrics saying,

“It doesn’t matter what the intention was…it’s perception to the masses out of context, as well as the implication of the choir made up of children that all looked under 10. He knew what he was doing and it was harmful.”

Vogue contributing editor and stylist, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson wasn’t here for the collection,

“Here [comes] the bulls**t. I’m fuming,” she wrote.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, the use of “White Lives Matter” is a white superemacist phrase and a hate slogan. Whew, good gosh!

As previously reported by 360, West’s last interaction with fashion comes on the heels of separation from the retail giant, GAP. The rapper and designer claimed the company wasn’t willing to make negotiations for an affordable price point in support of his collection.
