“Prayers for Hawkeye” are apt, after Marvel actor, Jeremy Renner, was seriously injured earlier today in a snow plowing accident!
The fifty-one year old actor, known for playing The Avengers’ resident archer–gifted with near superhuman accuracy and armed with trick arrows– suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. Currently, Jeremy is in critical, but stable condition, however, he required a second surgery due to just how extensive his injuries were.
What Is Jeremy Renner’s Condition?
“As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” his representative, Sam Mast, told CNN in a statement. “His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”
Jeremy’s family has released a formal statement; “Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families,” Mast read. “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
Renner has been pictured a number of times on his snow plow via social media, the last of which he was shown plowing his driveway. The details of exactly how he was injured are unclear, but as aforementioned they accident was life threatening. He was the only person involved in the accident.
We are just glad he is now stable and prayerfully recovering. Renner may have passed his “Hawkeye” mantle, Christmas 2021, but you cannot beat the original. Besides his family needing him, we do too. Marvel has so many more films and television shows coming up in its fifth phase, and The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) would not be the same without him. Get well soon, Jeremy, the world needs superheroes!
