The Latest Celebrity News On Beyonce
Beyonce’s Renaissance album is in hot water, again. However, this time, it isn’t Kelis accusing the celebrated songtress of improper song sampling. UK pop duo Right Said Fred has now joined the boat.
Known for their hit 1992 song, “I’m Too Sexy,” the pop stars claim Beyonce sampled their song for the track “Alien Superstar.”
The band said that while most artists convey their interest in following a protocol to use their songs, Beyonce supposedly didn’t,
“Normally the artist approaches us but Beyoncé didn’t because she is such an arrogant person,” Right Said Fred detailed per The Sun. “She just had probably thought ‘come and get me’ so we heard about it after the fact when you did.”
They went on to say,
“To use our melody they need our permission so they send us the demo and we approve it and if so we get a co-write credit,” the British stars explained. “With this Beyoncé thing there are 22 writers it’s ridiculous so we would get about 40 [pounds].”
While they acknowledged their distaste for how Beyonce and her team handled the matter, Right Said Fred doesn’t have the power to legally correct the matter,
“There is nothing we can do. It is s–t,” they said. “You are going to get into a conversation with someone who has a lot more presence and power and money than we do. And that won’t go well.”
Beyonce’s album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart back in August. It was leaked online two days prior to its release in July.

Now, Here’s How Taylor Swift Ties In This Trending Celebrity News
In 2017, Right Said Fred frontman Richard Fairbass said in an interview that Taylor Swift actually had her team reach out to the iconic band when it came to sampling their song for “Look What You Made Me Do” off the album Reputation.
“My brother [Fred] signed me up. He lives in Barcelona and he just phoned me up and said we’ve had a phone call from LA, and Taylor Swift wants to use part of ‘I’m Too Sexy,'” he said.
Fairbass explained that the collaboration was to be hush-hush but as for decorum, Swift’s team was top tier saying,
“[Swift] and all the people that work with her have been incredibly friendly. I’ve got a huge bunch of flowers here from them in the house. It’s been a rewarding experience, and very flattering. I don’t have a single bad thing to say.”
